PPG Industries’ flat glass business has named Nathan McKenna national architectural manager for the southeast region, covering Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and the majority of Florida. McKenna joins PPG from Columbia Commercial Building Products, Dallas, a PPG CFP CERTIFIED FABRICATOR PROGRAM® member, where he had served as glass division manager. Glenn T. Miner, PPG director of construction, flat glass, said McKenna’s strong background in commercial glazing products and knowledge of the industry as a glass fabricator will enable him to offer architects an exceptional combination of design and technical support. “With his management experience in glass fabrication, Nathan understands and can communicate to architects the benefits of specifying glass early in the critical project path,” he explained. “With his familiarity with glass products and glass performance, Nathan is also well-equipped to guide architects, engineers, contractors and owners through the selection and specification of the right glass for their project.” A native of Pittsburgh and a graduate of James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, McKenna will be located in the Atlanta area. One of the world’s largest glass manufacturers, PPG features leading brands such as SOLARBAN® solar control, low-emissivity (low-e) glass; SUNGATE® 400 passive, low-e glass; STARPHIRE® ultra-clear glass; and a variety of performance-tinted, reflective and subtly reflective glasses. PPG was the first U.S. float glass manufacturer to have its products recognized by the CRADLE TO CRADLE CERTIFIED program and today offers more C2C-certified architectural glasses than does any other float glass manufacturer.
